Apple "Brown Sugar" Syrup

A Healthier Version Of My Favorite Starbucks Latte

Iced Coffee

Ready in 15 minutes Servings 1 cup


  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup apple cider
  • 3/4 cup coconut sugar or maple sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg


  1. Whisk water, apple cider and coconut sugar together in a small sauce pan over medium heat.
  2. Once it comes to a simmer add the spices and mix together. Let it simmer for another 5-10 minutes. Make sure to stir it every so often and watch closely so it does not burn.
  3. Remove from heat and allow it to cool. Store in an airtight container in the fridge!
