Apple "Brown Sugar" Syrup
A Healthier Version Of My Favorite Starbucks Latte
Ready in 15 minutes Servings 1 cup
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup apple cider
- 3/4 cup coconut sugar or maple sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Instructions
- Whisk water, apple cider and coconut sugar together in a small sauce pan over medium heat.
- Once it comes to a simmer add the spices and mix together. Let it simmer for another 5-10 minutes. Make sure to stir it every so often and watch closely so it does not burn.
- Remove from heat and allow it to cool. Store in an airtight container in the fridge!
